Biography:

“We do rock, we do R&B, we do dance music…we’re like a human iPod,” laughs Airto, the front man and chief songwriter for the Portland band, And I’ve Landed. “We try to stay true to the way we, and most humans, listen to music.”

In March of 2008, And I’ve Landed independently released their debut album, "A Love Story." The album showcases the band’s formidable emotional pull, achieving what lead singer Airto set out to do. His goal was to reach his audience on a personal level. "I’ve given myself the task of writing songs that people crave; I want to write songs that people can fully relate to,” he says.

Simply put, the band has succeeded at their goal. They've proven it with their steady growth in the Portland area, playing nearly every local venue, including the nationally recognized Roseland Theater. In 2009, the band even earned a spot performing at the world’s longest-running tour, the international Vans Warped Tour.

To speak on the importance of live performances, drummer, Josh Delany, says, “If people are spending their money to see us perform, then we absolutely must put on a show that is worth seeing.” It's this ability to tap into the audience's desires coupled with the band's renowned sense of humor that makes their live show fun and engaging. Airto goes on to add, "We don't take ourselves too seriously." Perhaps not, but if there's any justice, the music world soon will.

And I’ve Landed has been writing and recording over the past year in preparation for their sophomore release. “There are weeks where I get maybe four hours of sleep each night, because I’m completely focused on a new song,” explains Airto. “This next album is going to be big for us because we’ve really found our identity and we’ve grown tremendously.”

It is without a doubt that the band has succeeded in saturating Portland’s music scene, and will undoubtedly continue to impress upon audiences everywhere the progressive sound that is And I’ve Landed.
