Chris Margolin has been working hard to earn a strong following in his hometown of Portland, Oregon. His first EP, Fallen Leaf, earned him radio play with both singles, "Reckless," and "Simplifying Daisy." KINK FM also placed "Reckless" on their KINK Plug in Portland Volume 2 CD, and "Tell You," from the limited Doug Fir EP, on the KINK Locals Only CD. He opened for The Proclaimers ("500 Miles") at Portland's Legendary Aladdin Theatre, and has been given headlining shows at several esteemed venues throughout the Portland area, including three sold out shows at Doug Fir. In both 2009 and 2010, Chris Margolin was nominated for the Portland Music Awards' Best Male Artist, placing in the top 5 each year. In January of 2010, Chris Margolin placed 4th in the Deli Magazine's Favorite Emerging Band of 2009 contest. He returns with his new album, The Carnival, in April of 2011.
