David is a recovering Tennessean now residing in Portland, OR. He plays a half-dozen or so instruments. He has fronted rock bands, acoustic groups, and funk bands that did dance steps. There are no known photos of this. David has worked with producers like Al Kooper and Nigel Olsson. Exactly like them. It was them. He used to play in a band that specialized in songs about James Joyce. He says no to needle drugs. David currently writes and records his own songs in addition to playing mandolin with the comedy group The Johnsons under a bizarre alias. He contributed a song and helped compose the score for their movie, Pickin' and Grinnin', which is currently making the festival rounds. It's directed by the amazingly cool Jon Gries, the only guy we know who was on both White Shadow and The Jeffersons.
