Purple & Green is the new Experimental Party Funk Psychedelic R&B Digital Soul Motivational Dance Music Collaborative Super-Voltron Project from vocalist Justin (jGreeN) Leon Johnson and producer Adam Forkner (White Rainbow et al).
Justin and Adam met at an outdoor Rob Walmart show, where Adam was laying down hard experimental beats from the RW's van sound system. Liking what he was hearing, Justin grabbed a mic and straight killed the party with his smooth, ecstatic, soulful voice.
At that moment, a new sound was born.
P&G carefully mixes the experimentalism of Forkner's past projects (White Rainbow's expansive psychedelics and propulsive rhythmic hypnosis, Rob Walmart's anarchic beats, We Like Cats' dubby decays, as well as his work as a co-producer with such dance acts as Miracles Club and Yacht) with the dirty/smooth, gospel-dripped yet diva strong voice of one Justin Leon Johnson (aka jGreeN).
In other words, there's two "Riley"s at play here, Teddy AND Terry.
Do we have to spell it out for you?
We're right here, ready for your love.
