Beginning in March of 2010, three young musicians began their quest to satiate their musical needs and passion. To do so, they searched the far reaches of the internet to find people who shared their passion and love of music. Once the three came together, Jesse, Ian, and Reed began to write music and collaborate while searching for the final pieces of the puzzle. After 7 months of searching and multiple failed tryouts, we finally found Monte, and The Modern Golem was formed in October of 2010.

The Modern Golem has a unique up-tempo style that is constantly in motion. Never sitting still even during the calmer, and more soulful portions of songs, the music is always moving whether it be by the means of catchy guitar riffs, distinct piano and synth’ leads, syncopated drum rhythms or a groovy baseline, TMG carries a sound that distinguishes them from the rest of the indie rock scene that can be found today.
